GRETTONY PLAZA hosted a grand opening event on 1 June 2011 with live musicians and a Best in Steampunk event hourly. Many designers from the Plaza were in attendance as well as many shoppers. Most came in full-out steampunk finery, led by London Junkers and Lizzie Gudkov of LnL Store, which is well known amongst the steampunk community for their attention to detail. Music was provided by Kinagree-Smith(Lexie Luan & Zorch Boomhauer) with their harmonious duet of folk and acoustic rock followed by Nance Brody with her unique blend of blues rocking tunes. It was a fun time for all and a great opportunity to see the beginnings of a fantastic lineup of store including Gems and Kisses, LnL, Davina's Live Shapes & Fashion, DrLife Healthy Hair, Benoir Designs, Cyber Gems Jewelry, Mad Hattery, Optic Euphoria, Sascha's Designs, Steam Powered Nuts Tellaq Ethnic Skins, Unzipped, and Utopia.
